Lisa's Story
Specialist Female Counsellor
Supporting Women in Life, Love and Loss
Counselling has been my lifelong passion. I was first drawn to the power of being there for somebody when I began my professional life working for young people at a youth homeless charity in London.
I learnt early on that to be heard, seen and fully understood is vital and a supportive relationship can be life changing.
There is a magical moment when a counsellor insightfully says something and you feel completely understood. It is as if they have shone a torch into a darkened room. Your world is suddenly illuminated, and then they pass you the torch, and you are empowered to understand yourself and your life in a new way. It can be life-changing.
I’ve experienced this as a client and as a counsellor during nearly a decade of work, study and training. It is my privilege and honour to sit with my clients.
I appreciate the courage it takes to come to counselling and begin to speak honestly and openly, It's incredibly brave.
I am passionate about supporting women and ultimately their families and partners. Individual work always impacts the family systems around them. At times this can be challenging as change takes place but I believe that it always goes in the direction of truth and growth and our inner wisdom will guide us to where we need to heal

I am a Person-centred counsellor working from my shepherd’s hut in the Norfolk Broads and online.
My clinic is for women 15+ in all stages of life.
I am a mother, daughter, wife, sister, friend. I have experienced many of life’s challenges – from my struggles as a young woman, to caring for a chronically-ill daughter, to the challenges every working mother recognises of juggling careers alongside many caring responsibilities. I have family experience of anxiety, Lymes Disease, dementia, depression and bereavement.
I am passionate about creating a safe space for you, empowering you to reclaim your life and thrive.
